Football players and cheerleaders at Coronado High School flooded into the cafeteria on Thursday afternoon to give special needs students their own mums.
It’s a tradition that’s been going on for five years now, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
“Noah Sifrit started it, and when he graduated, he told us we better continue it on, or else,” said Caden Hensley, a football player at Coronado High School.
Football players and cheerleaders hope that this small action will inspire others to be kind and to not bully in high school.
“In high school, there’s a lot of bullying, and so I think it’s really important to make sure that everyone feels special,” said Kinzi Arnett, a cheerleader at Coronado High School.
Special needs students, football players and cheerleaders will go to the football game together as they take on Lubbock High this Friday.
