Grossology: The Impolite Science of the Human Body is a traveling exhibit that opens at the Science Spectrum on March 3.
Grossology is a science-in-disguise exhibit where kids can get answers to many of the questions they have about the human body. It uses words kids understand to describe their bodily functions and then presents the science behind it, making it easy and exciting for kids to learn.
There are more than 20 animated and interactive displays and games for kids and adults to participate in to learn about the different systems and organs of the body that are responsible for things like runny noses, sneezes, boogers and more.
Education Coordinator Alana Baliga said the visuals and games give children a bigger understanding of how the human body works.
“This is a very interactive and fun exhibit that answers the questions to why do you pee, poop, burp and fart,” Baliga said. “It’s a fun look at all of the things that we do not really like to talk about, but it makes it interactive and engaging.”
Grossology opens March 3 and will be in the exhibit hall of the Science Spectrum until June 3. Tickets cost $11 for adults and $9.50 for children and seniors.
