To celebrate the end of the grape harvest and the conclusion of grape crush, Llano Estacado Winery is opening up its cellar doors to the public for its annual Grape Day celebration. The event will be on October 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the winery.

Guests can enjoy self-guided tours through the production area, local vendors, art, food trucks, bounce houses and live music provided by Bo Garza and friends. There will even be a projector set up to watch the Red Raiders take on the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. The ticket includes a commemorative Grape day wine glass and tickets for two glasses of wine.

There will be more than 40 wines to try at the winery. Hospitality Director, Mike Laughlin, said it is good exposure to grapes and wines that you have not tried before.

“We have some brand new wines out here right now,” Laughlin said. “For instance, we have a Pinot Noir, Llano Estacado has never produced one before. We have dry Riesling, sweet Riesling, there is some wine out here for everyone.”
