Local businesses are going all out for Saturday’s Final Four game between Texas Tech and Michigan State, and they want the community to join them.
Operating Partner Troy Davidson said Back 40 Grill will host a Final Four tailgate party in their parking lot. He said they are putting up a huge tent in the parking lot with a DJ, cornhole tournament and multiple TVs to watch the game on.
“We are going to have five dollar burgers and brisket sandwiches, two dollar beers, three dollar fireballs and three dollar Chiltons,” Davidson said. “It is going to be exciting. If you were here last Saturday, this coming Saturday is going to blow it out of the water.”
Across town, Red Raider fans can watch the historic moment in a historic venue.
The Cactus Theater partnered with the Texas Tech Alumni Association to hold a watch party in the theater. It is free to watch, and the doors open at 6:45 p.m., and owner Darryl Holland said to come early.
“We will have food and drinks and our concession stand and bar will be open, but we just really wanted to be a part of the community in this historic moment,” Holland said.
