After tragedy struck the Las Vegas Strip when a gunman attacked a crowd at a country music festival, local citizens are stocking up on their first amendment rights.

“This isn’t an issue about guns,” LSG Tactical Co-owner and Manger Steve Burns said. “It’s coming to a realization about there are bad people in this world, there are bad people. We just have to keep our heads together and our spirits strong.”

At least four gun shops, including a gun range, in town told EverythingLubbock.com they are experiencing an increase in sales less than 48 hours after incident in Las Vegas. Other shops said they always see a trend of influx after a mass shooting. At least 59 people were killed and nearly 515 were injured in the Las Vegas shooting at last report.

“The second amendment is there to protect you,” Burns said. “It is not there necessarily to reinforce your rights to hunt, although that is part of it. It is there to protect you from bad things in this world.
