The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:
At approximately 9:45 Sunday night, officers were called to the Bubba Lous Game Room located at 2907 Slide Road in reference to a robbery that had just occurred.
Officers were advised a Hispanic male with his face covered walked into the game room with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the business.
A security guard for a construction site in the 5000 block of 29th Street saw the suspect who still had his face covered. The security guard got out of his vehicle and the suspect ran out of the construction site. The guard chased the suspect, but the male got into a vehicle in the 2800 block of York Avenue and fled the scene.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect. This is an ongoing investigation.
