Several bars and restaurants in Lubbock will be preparing for an influx of Texas Tech fans, but the managers also want you to be safe while doing your best cheers.

4ORE Golf and Cricket’s on Broadway will both be hosting watch parties on the day Texas Tech plays Michigan State. The general manager of Cricket’s, Brady Perkins, said the weekend Texas Tech beat Gonzaga, the crowds were insane near their bar.

“We haven’t had soemthing like this happen since the baseball team went to the college world series,” said the Cricket’s General Manager, Brady Perkins,  “Barstool’s really been helping us out throughout the entire tournament and we’ve had great crowds out and we just can’t wait for the Red Raiders to bring home a national championship.”

“With this one we’ve even grown it bigger than normal,” said Keith Rogers 4ORE Golf’s Director of Facilites, “Our normal grill area right here seats about 200 people. We’ve got tables and blow up screens that’s going to be available on our patio that’s going to seat about 300.” In total, they’ll be able to fit 700 people.

Perkins said TABC and the fire marshal walked into their bar a few times to make sure everything was in order the day Tech beat Gonzaga. “We’re definitely going to be at capacity once the game starts. It’s going to be one in one out and we’re going to be heavily monitoring that to be TABC safe and meet fire codes and stuff,” said Perkins.

4ORE Golf has hald multiple watch parties and they hope to continue them, as long as Tech keeps winning.

“Everybody wants to talk about the Red Raiders. Everyone wants to talk about how fun this is,” said Rogers.”
