Patrick Mahomes’ big appearance was at McGavock Nissan on Monday where folks could show their support not only for Mahomes but other local organizations.  All the proceeds will be donated. Half will go to the Team Luke Foundation and half will go to High Point Village.

Marissa Trevino, Communications Coordinator,  told us, “Our mission is to create a village where people with intellectual intellectual disabilities can live, learn, work, worship and achieve their for potential. Our whole goal is to provide enriching activities for people with special needs so they have a place that they can call home. “

The enrichment center provides the villager with a safe haven where they get to volunteer in the community, go on field trips and learn critical skills.

Joshua Barnett said, “Basically what we do for fun is we go bowling on Tuesday’s, Monday’s we go to Meal’s on Wheels and Catholic Charities.  Wednesday’s we go to water aerobics and Thursday’s is basically do whatever.”

The partnership between high point village and McGavock Nissan goes back almost five years.

Brent McGavock explained,  “We just really like how they enhance the lives of the individuals out there. How they have them learn, live, work and worship out there.  It’s just exciting to be a part of that and they just don’t get the exposure that some other people do.”

McGavock said there’s only two places in the state of Texas that do what they do, so it was really a no brainer.

Trevino expressed,  “We just really like how they enhance the lives of the individuals out there. How they have them learn, live, work and worship out there.  It’s just exciting to be a part of that and they just don’t get the exposure that some other people do.”
