The Plainview High School band came back from Thanksgiving break to find their trailer gone.
“I just didn’t believe it. I really hoped someone had just borrowed it and forgot to return it, but the general feeling throughout the band boosters is shock and horror,” Jason Cardy, a member of the Plainview Band Boosters group, said.
The trailer is used to transport major props that the students use for each performance. Cardy said they count on it to travel to major competitions across the country.
“They’ve taken it upon themselves to haul them up and down the country to various competitions and football games,” Cardy said, “so that trailer has been vital to help us.”
Cardy said they have reported the trailer stolen to the Plainview Police Department, but they have a message to whoever stole it.
“If you have it, just bring it back. Just stick it in the parking lot, and we will forget about it. We just want the trailer back,” Cardy said.
If you have any information or tips on the whereabouts of the trailer, you are encouraged to contact Plainview police or the Plainview Band Boosters Club.
