Brothers and sisters in blue lined up to show their support for fallen Texas Tech Officer Floyd East Jr.
“What today was about was just trying to see a brother home,” Sergeant Corey Nunley, with the Lubbock Police Department said.
Community members also lined the streets to honor the fallen Officer.
“The men and women of our first responders are the true heroes. We just go about our lives but when we need them all we have to do is pick up our phones and call and they are there,” Kyle Linninger, a supporter of the procession said.
“Either armed forces or first responder, when one gets cut we all bleed. We all feel it, the community feels it,” Benny Guerrero, a supporter of the procession said.
Officer East’s body was flown to El Paso, Texas for the funeral and memorial services.
