The National Weather Service in Lubbock reported 80 to 90 miles per hour winds in and around Ralls, Texas.
“‘There are two or three barns across the highway. The way the neighbors described it they said ‘it just picked them up and moved them across the street,'” Colten Buie, a Resident of Ralls said.
Large pieces of tin and metal were blown across Highway 62/82 during the storm. Damaging not only large structures but Buie said it also totaled his dad’s truck.
“I wasn’t expecting tin everywhere. I was expecting the house to be in pieces. We are just very lucky that the home wasn’t destroyed,” Buie said.
Other neighbors around Ralls said they received broken windows on both cars and vehicles, but the biggest problem was how long they went without power.
“It reminds you of all the little things. We had no electricity and no air conditioning all night. It makes you think whoa,” Mary Lou Sifuentes, a Resident of Ralls said.
