Search Continues For Missing Elderly Couple From Bovina

On January 19, Rosendo Lara and Hortencia Lara, an 81 and 84-year-old couple, were reported missing from Bovina, Texas.

“They didn’t have any debit cards, checks, cellphones or anything. We’re wondering how they’re eating and how they’re surviving,” Zeke Lara, the son of the couple, said.

Lara said he and his sister drove all around Texas handing out fliers in hopes someone would recognize them. The couple’s nine kids and 57 grandchildren said they just want them home safely.

“If you see them and spot them, please keep following them until someone gets there,” Lara said, in hopes the public can help them find their parents.

Lara said Rosendo suffers from both Alzheimer’s and dementia.

The couple is believed to be traveling in a 2000 light gold Chevy Silverado, with license plate number GWY-7326.
