The South Plains Fair in partnership with Reithoffer Shows is working on to finalize all the safety steps prior to opening tomorrow September 21st.
“Our families ride these rides, I ride these rides,” Rick Reithoffer, CEO and President of Reithoffer Shows said.
Reithoffer said Texas law requires an inspection once a year for all rides, but he believes in going above and beyond that to ensure his customer’s safety.
“We have daily inspectors who come in and check all the rides before we even open. We have a great safety record and great personnel who inspect our rides,” Reithoffer said.
Mike Nicol a Ride Inspector that works for Reithoffer said he’s been inspecting rides for nearly 17 years.
“A lot of people don’t realize ride inspectors even exist. We see the rides going on and the kids yelling that is the satisfaction we get,” Nicol said.
