Recent Texas Tech graduate, Sage Gallaway creates new environment for local art and axe throwing.

A popular new activity sweeping the country has arrived in Lubbock.  Unlike many of the venues in other places, Bad Axe Raider does things a little different.  Their roots are in the arts.  The backdrop of the four lane axe throwing venue depicts a mural of various historical raiders, and their shields are the targets.  Throwers are able to engage in a more visual experience along with the adrenaline rush and thrill that comes with throwing axes.

In addition to axe throwing, the facility offers and opportunity for local artists, makers, and craftspeople to show and sell their work.  For those looking for a chance to unleash their own artistic flair, Bad Axe Raider even offers a graffiti wall.

The venue fosters an environment focused on safety and fun.  It’s an activity that requires no previous experience, or skill to pick up.  They offer a variety of axes to choose from.  A small 9-ounce throwing tomahawk to a 3-pound campers axe.  The activity is available to ages 14 and up, with minors accompanied by an adult.

They are open to the public on Fridays beginning at 4pm and Saturdays beginning at 1PM.  They are also available for groups and parties to rent out the whole venue Monday through Saturday.

Bad Axe Raider is located at 13209 Frankford Ave. Suite #14 and you can give Sage a call at 806-782-4676.
