It was the surprise of a lifetime for 13-year-old Emma Holdman when her mom and dad gave her tickets to the Texas Tech verse Duke game.
“I was just really excited. I was speechless and I didn’t have much to say because they had me convinced I wasn’t going,” Emma said.
The game will be in Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 20th. Emma said she is a fan of both teams.
“Yes I like Duke but I am a bigger tech fan,” Emma said.
Luckily, during the moment when Emma opened the tickets, her dad caught the whole thing on camera. He then posted it to Twitter and got a lot more reaction than he expected.
“The team reached out to us and said Coach Beard wanted to meet Emma and introduce her to the team. We were shocked. It shows the character of the program and the people who lead these guys,” Jason Holdman, Emma’s Dad said.
