Thieves are proving they don’t have many boundaries after stealing a 13-year-old’s trombone right out of her mom’s car.
Karleigh Rosas was getting ready for a band audition when her family discovered their car had been broken into, stealing only Rosas’ trombone.
“I was so angry,” said mom Sheryl Jester. “I mean, I can take getting stolen from, don’t get me wrong, but when you steal from my babies, oh, that made this mama extremely mad.”
The Jesters didn’t have any time to try and find the thieves as they had to make it to their daughter’s audition.
It wasn’t until hours later when Jester was driving home that she saw a familiar black bag sitting on the side of the road.
“I took one look, and I knew exactly what it was,” said Jester. “I walked up to the guy and said, ‘Where did you get that? That’s my daughter’s missing trombone.'”
The thieves had discarded the instrument down the street with no apparent explanation. Regardless, the family is happy to have it back.
‘We were hoping and praying for the best, and thank you Jesus, the big man upstairs, that he had this girl protected because it came back,” said Jester.
