Since 1998, the Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center has been helping hundreds across the South Plains with disabilities through hippotherapy, therapeutic riding and equine assisted mental health.
Tangi Irwin, program director for the center, shares that the center sees folks from 2 years of age to 98 years.
In addition to helping those with disabilities, another mission of the center’s is to educate students in all aspects of equine therapy and to encourage its research.
After giving back for so many years and to so many families, the center is now calling on the community for help by supporting them in a contest to win a new therapeutic horse.
The Facebook contest is through the Lexlin Gypsy Ranch. Participants are asked to visit their Facebook page and to vote on an equine therapy center. Which ever center receives the most votes will win a new horse.
If you’d like to help the TTU Therapeutic Riding Center in this contest, vote for them here on the Lexlin Gypsy Ranch Facebook page.
