Sometimes DIY projects can wind up taking up time and breaking the bank. However, KK’s Corner Mall has a few ideas for quick projects anyone can do, that are budget friendly.
Manager, Stacy Harvey said gift baskets are easy projects that you can customize, and can be as cheap or expensive as you want.
“I think the key is building it up first,” Harvey said. “You have to make sure you have that base cause if you just stick stuff in it you’re not gonna see it.”
Harvey said you do not need even a basket to hold your items, you can use a baking dish, trash tin, or anything that fits the theme.
Harvey said another quick item to make is a succulent garden, first, she said to pick a container that can withstand water and soil.
“You want to make sure that you have a hole in the bottom,” Harvey said. “If it’s like a vintage container or something you don’t mind putting a hole in you can do that.”
Harvey said from there fill your container with potting soil and then place your succulents.
“You can even go to one of the local dollar type stores and get a container, buy you some potting mix, and one of these and maybe spend eight bucks,” Harvey said.
