ABC Bank and Senior Link Magazine honored 40 area veterans at At’l Do Farms Corn Field Maze with a dinner and reception Tuesday.
Maze owners James and Patti Simpson announced this year’s maze theme will be “We Salute Our Veterans.”
The 40 veterans fought in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. They were joined at the event by their families and three Lubbock generals: Major General Walter Huffman, Lt. General Dr. Bernhard T. Mittemeyer, and Brigadier General William Edgar Murphy.
Major General Dr. Annette Sobel was the keynote speaker. Texas State Senator Charles Perry also spoke at the event, while Russ Murphy performed “Welcome Home Soldier.”
