Wildlife expert breaks down NCAA mascot bracket

Statistically speaking, you are more likely to win the Powerball twice in row than have a perfect NCAA March Madness bracket.

Every year people pour over team statistics to try to create the most accurate bracket. However, Gail Barnes, director of the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, offered an alternative solution to filling out a bracket.

Gail Barnes said that this year she filled out her bracket based off of what mascot would win. Off the top, Barnes said her top seed is the Temple Owls.

Owls have superpowers they have the adaptive facial disc for special hearing, Barnes said.

Barnes said another matchup she was looking at was the Oregon ducks and the Wisconsin Badgers.

There is no contest there, Barnes said. Badgers are very aggressive and chase you.

Barnes said her final four would be the Nevada Wolf Pack, Florida Gators, Temple Owls and the Wisconsin Badgers.

(Gators) If they get you in the water, they drown their pray, Barnes said.

Barnes said she picked the Temple Owls to win it all in a mascot bracket.

They have the superpowers that no other animal has, Barnes.
