The Heat Returns: Hot weather settles back in across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains for Wednesday and Thursday. Highs climb into the upper 90s across the region. A few spots will climb into the low 100s. The hot weather pattern will stick around too long.
Cooler Weather Ahead: High temperatures will drop back into the middle 90s Friday and Saturday. We’ll drop into the lower 90s Sunday, Monday and Tuesday thanks to more cloud cover and some rain chances.
Rain Chances Return: Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible late Thursday afternoon thru Friday morning across the Texas Panhandle and the far northern South Plains. There is another slight chance for thunderstorms late Friday afternoon and Friday evening. The next slight chance for thunderstorms is on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
College World Series Forecast: Congratulations to the Red Raiders on their win against Florida. Texas Tech will take on Costal Carolina at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Mostly sunny and warm in Omaha with temperatures in the middle 80s at first pitch. Sunset is 9:01 p.m. Thursday evening in Omaha.
