The Lubbock Area Association of Health Underwriters (LAAHU) is hosting its 4th annual golf tournament in June. The golf tournament partly serves as a fundraiser for specific organizations throughout the community. This year, the Board of Directors for LAAHU has elected to donate a portion of the proceeds to Luke Siegel and his family as he battles through a very significant brain injury suffered last summer.
Chairman of the Tournament Committee Shawn Laquey mentioned, “My wife, Dawn, and I had the privilege of meeting with Tim, Jenny, and Luke Siegel recently and have really come to love what this family stands for and what they represent”. He continued, “They are salt of the earth people, and there is no family more deserving than the Siegel’s to participate in this event with us”.
The golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, June 13th at the Rawls Course in Lubbock. In addition to donations, businesses and individuals are invited to participate at various sponsorship levels or by coming out to compete in the tournament itself.
Prior to the golf tournament, LAAHU and the Siegel’s will be hosting a meet and greet with the family Sunday, June 12th beginning at 4:00pm at The Range located on South Indiana. There will be live music, drinks, food, time on the range, and a special time of prayer for Luke and his family. A portion of the grill proceeds will also be donated to the Siegel family.
