Lake Alan Henry was declared at full capacity in May 2015, and ever since then, people have been able to enjoy a very full lake.

People who were out on the lake Tuesday said they have never seen the water this high before. One boater described the water as ‘very clear’, and said it was great to be out on the lake when it was so full.

Steve and Becky Winn moved out to Lake Alan Henry three years ago, and were heading to the lake to fish on Tuesday. They said they typically get onto the lake once a week.

“It was a lot lower than it is right now, and since this last 6, 8 months, it’s really came up a whole lot,” Steve said.

Both said they noticed how high the water is, even compared to just a few days ago.

“It’s a lot deeper today than it was like two days ago, you can’t even walk across the ramp right there to get to the dock,” they said.

Data about the lake can be found from the Texas Water Development Board, which can be found here.
