A Lubbock man claimed his vehicles were burglarized four times since Thanksgiving, and the fourth time, he caught the suspects on camera.

Lee Williams, a resident of the Lakeridge neighborhood, said he could not find a particular pattern. He said he was unable to recognize the three people who drove up to his house two weeks ago, captured on camera.

“They’ve stolen many items.  They’ve stolen a gun, they broke the lock in my truck to get in, and we’ve been violated,” Williams said.

Williams explained he installed surveillance equipment after the third break-in. He said he was worried about the safety of his family.

“What really concerns me is my wife goes and works out early in the morning. What if she was to walk out when something like this was happening? They’ve obviously stolen some guns; they might be armed. We are concerned for our safety,” Williams said. “Maybe it’s just a whole ring of thieves.”

There have been other victims in the Lakeridge neighborhood aside from Williams.

“It’s a huge problem,” said Stephen Quisenberry, a neighbor of Williams.

Quisenberry’s truck, and another neighbor’s pickup were both broken into in November, 2015.

“Took everything out of our consoles, took a laptop, and a gun of mine,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of concerns, because hearing from the neighbors, it’s happened a lot in our area.”

“We’ve all got kids running around, we all leave early in the morning for work, and hoping we don’t ever come across them. But it’s possible it may happen,” Quisenberry said. “We would hope that with the amount of break-ins happening we could get some maybe law enforcement to monitor the neighborhood and hopefully catch the guys.”

“With as many instances that are happening, [Lubbock Police] are having a hard time keeping up with it,” Williams added. “I would wish that they would do some sort of sting operation, similar to what they do with prostitution, maybe put a fake vehicle out there, and keep an eye on it and wait for somebody to come and break into it and apprehend them.”

“It appears we’ve got quite a problem here in Lubbock,” said Williams.
