May 14th is almost here which can only mean one thing…it’s almost Lemonade Day! True Jedi’s don’t let a small chance of rain dampen their enthusiasm. So rain or shine, Lemonade Day will move forward.
To date, thousands of young entrepreneurs across the Hub City have registered for Lemonade Day, chosen the ‘light’ or the ‘dark side,’ received a free backpack, attended workshops and learned how to start, own and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand! Along the way they learned valuable life skills like setting goals, making a plan, working that plan, providing good customers service, and earning their very own money.
We are asking all Lubbock residents and Texas Tech students to buy at least three glasses of lemonade each this Saturday increasing the demand to keep pace with the increased supply!
We also remind the public to drive safely as thousands of young entrepreneurs will be out and about this Saturday.
Special thanks to the schools, non-profit organizations and businesses that have collaborated to truly impact the lives of kids all across the South Plains.
