Matthew Noel raised $4,686.34 on Lemonade Day and donated all of the proceeds to the Burkhart Center at Texas Tech University on Friday.
Noel traveled across town to find businesses who would match his donations dollar-for-dollar.
“They give so much to us, so I wanted to give it back,” Noel said.
This is his fourth year Noel participated in donating to the Burkhart Center and his most rewarding yet.
“Yeah it makes me happy to make other people happy and that’s why I was so excited when I saw those $100 bills or big tips were dropping in,” Noel added.
“I couldn’t be more proud,” Michael Noel, Matthew’s father said. “He was almost out there for 12 hours that day and before that he went out there looking for sponsors who would match his donations so a lot of work went into a very successful Lemonade Day.”
