Levelland Police responded to the report of a bomb threat at Levelland High School some time after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. By 11:38 am, police said the building was checked and cleared.
Police said students were evacuated to South Plains Church in Levelland and the Lubbock County Bomb Squad also responded to the scene to search the school.
Late Tuesday afternoon, police said a juvenile suspect had been taken into custody. Because of the suspect’s age, the name was not released.
