The Lubbock Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a home in central Lubbock early Thursday morning.
When firefighters got to the home in the 4800 block of 42nd St. around 2:20 a.m. Thursday, they said the east end of the home was “well involved.”
Lubbock Fire said they were able to knock the fire down quickly and no one was injured. They said the home was vacant and there was no electricity to the house.
The house has heavy smoke damage and about a quarter of the house has heavy fire damage.
The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s office was called to investigate the fire. As of 8 a.m. Thursday, the cause was unknown.
