Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a report of a fire in a home early Thursday morning.

They were called to a home near 94th and Quaker around 2 a.m. Thursday. 

According to Lubbock Fire, someone called in the fire after seeing smoke and flames coming from the roof. When the crews arrived, they found heavy smoke.

LFR said by about 4:30 a.m., the fire was under control. No one was injured.

One person has been displaced by the fire, and Lubbock Fire said the person would be staying with family or friends. The home is considered a total loss.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to investigate and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
