Early Voting for Lubbock Independent School District’s (LISD) Tax Ratification (Rollback) Election starts Thursday, August 18th, 2016 and ends Friday, August 26th, 2016. Not all the regular United stores will be used for Early Voting. There will be no early voting at the Market Streets located at 98th and Quaker or 82nd and Frankford.
Election Day is Tuesday, August 30th, 2016. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. thru 7:00 p.m. Vote Centers cannot be used for the District’s Tax Ratification (Rollback) Election. Voters who do not take advantage of the nine days of early voting MUST go to their home precinct to vote on Election Day, August 30, 2016. Voters will receive a postcard in the mail directing them to the location of their home precinct.
This will be the first election using the Federal Court Order instructions for photo identification in Lubbock County. Voters will be asked for their photo identification. If the voter does not have one of the 7 state or federally issued photo identifications that are not more than 4 years expired then the voter may show a current voter registration certificate, utility bill, bank statement or paycheck and sign an Impediment Declaration.
