This weekend Literacy Lubbock is hosting the South Plains Literacy Symposium at Texas Tech University McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center. The Symposium is Free to the public and there will be several different sessions to attend. Volunteer Managment 101, Generational Volunteering, Growing a Community Partnership with Pastor Chris Moore and Reggie Dial, along with Best Practices for Tutoring Adult Learners. The Keynote speaker for the event is New York Times and USA Today Best Selling author Jodi Thomas.
