Gilbert Muniz is on a mission to make a century old house in Littlefield, last 100 more years.
Muniz said he fell in love with the house that sits on the 900 block of 9th street in Littlefiled when he was a kid.
“My mom used to clean this house years back when I was like 10 or 12 years old,” Muniz said. “That’s when I first learned about the house.”
As he grew up, he became more interested in the history of the house and found out it was originally purchased more than 100 years ago from a Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalog.
“I went to the library here in Littlefield and I got a little bit of the history that it was built in 1915,” Muniz said.
According to Muniz, the house sat just outside of Littlefield before moving to it’s current location in 1945. It had several different owners before it was abandoned.
