Businesses near 73rd and Indiana were on heightened alert today prior to police capturing Carlos Martinez. Some stores even closed their doors for the day, but some were just extra cautious about who was walking through their door.
“We’re telling customers to stay in the car when they are pulling up and to not get out just in case he does happen to run through the shop,” Dominic Jones, the Assistant Manager at Rapid Oil said.
Jones said prior to opening police came in and searched their entire store.
“They were looking through our shop, looking down in the pit, in the bathrooms and asking us questions if we’ve seen him,” Jones said.
Carlos Martinez was found and put in custody Friday afternoon.
