It is time for one of our biggest fundraisers of the year for Special Olympics Texas! Ragin Cajun Golf Tournament is new to Lubbock and what a way to kick off what we hope will be an annual event. A 1pm flight full with 32 teams were served both a burger lunch and yummy gumbo afterwards.
Athletes were there handing out mardi gras beads and goody bags for all teams. Of course all players got a complimentary shirt courtesy of West Texas ER!
Your support of this event allows our athletes to participate all year in sports activities. Lubbock has many delegations that travel to state and national competitions. We are so proud of them! These opportunities would not occur without the support of the community. All money received in Lubbock stays in Lubbock! For every dollar donated, $0.83 goes directly back to our athletes and their events. We, at SOTX, want you to know where your dollar is going.
