More than 100 local bowlers are expected to knock down pins to strike out breast cancer with the Lubbock USBC Association, Inc., at the 13th Annual Bowl for the Cure® fundraiser on Sunday, January 21 in Plainview. Squad times for the event are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The Plainview event will be held at the Plainview Bowling Center (2002 Quincy Street).

The entry fee for the fundraiser is $20 per person and includes three games of bowling. All proceeds will benefit the West Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®. All ages and genders are welcome. All bowlers will be given a participation gift and will be eligible for the chance to win great door prizes.

Early registration is available (but not required) by contacting Becky Jones of the Lubbock USBC Association, Inc., at 806-781-3777. Registration must be completed 15 minutes prior to squad starting times. 

This year, local bowlers hope to raise more than $1,000 to contribute to Bowl for the Cure®, a year-round fundraising and awareness initiative organized by the United States Bowling Congress in support of Susan G. Komen. Bowlers around the United States organize tournaments, bowl-a-thons, raffles, auctions, and more each year.
