Update 11:45 p.m.: Lubbock Police Department has located Delores Gomez.
The following is the updated information provided by the Lubbock Police Department:
15-year-old Delores Gomez has been located and is safe. After seeing the information on the news, we received information that she had been at a friend’s home.
The following is information provided by the Lubbock Police Department earlier this evening:
We are currently searching for 15-year-old Delores Gomez.
Family members reported her missing around 6p.m. this evening when she did not return home from Coronado High School. Gomez’s family advised she has a diminished mental capacity.
Gomez is a Hispanic female weighing approximately 125 pounds and is about 5-foot six-inches tall. She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, and blue Jordan shoes.
Right now officers are searching areas near Coronado High School and other places she may have gone. Officers are also in contact with LISD officials and are working to contact known friends.
Anyone who sees Gomez is asked to call 911 immediately.
