Two people died Sunday morning in a crash 5 miles south of Ralls, according to information released Monday by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said Nova Lea Montgomery, 50, of Big Spring was driving a pickup truck along Texas Highway 207 when “the passenger side tires traveled onto the grassy area on the east side of the roadway.”

“The driver lost control of the vehicle and attempted to take evasive action,” DPS said. But the truck crashed and rolled.

Montgomery lost her life at the scene of the crash.  DPS said a passenger, Brayden Michael Sizenbach, 18, of Big Spring, also died at the scene.  Another passenger, Austyn Reah Montgomery, 16, of Big Spring, was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.

DPS said Montgomery and Sizenbach did wear their seat belts.
