LUBBOCK, Texas – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle crash in East Lubbock Tuesday morning.
The accident was reported around 6:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Parkway Drive.
The Lubbock Police Department told EverythingLubbock.com a passenger car was traveling eastbound on Parkway Drive, near Zenith Avenue, when the driver attempted to avoid an object in the roadway.
The car left the roadway and crashed into an embankment off the shoulder of the highway.
Police said the driver and a passenger suffered moderate injuries.
The passenger was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center.
The driver refused treatment, police said.
