Muddy, messy fun for a great cause! On June 10, 2017, Communities in Schools of the South Plains (CIS-SP) will hold its 9th Annual Peace, Love, Mud Volleyball Tournament at Buffalo Springs Lake from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the Peace,Love,Mud, Volleyball Tournament is to have some fun in the sun while raising funds used to combat student dropout rates in the Lubbock area. Communities in Schools of the South Plains’ evidence-based programs remove academic and non-academic barriers to education that often influence a student’s decision to leave school. The difference made by CIS-SP in the lives of students and families is well-documented in 17 districts and 54 campuses where CIS-SP operates in Lubbock, the greater Lubbock area, and in the surrounding communities.
Come get dirty and support Communities in Schools’ work to engage students in learning through case management and whole school services. It is the mission of Communities in Schools to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Special thanks to event sponsors Asco Equipment Company, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Lee Lewis Construction, Inc., Raising Cane’s, and Standard Sales Company.
