Saturday is your last day to help Lubbock firefighters fill their boots for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The 2018 MDA Fill the Boot campaign kicked off back on Thursday at Fire Station 1.
Members of the Lubbock Professional Firefighters Association and Lubbock Fire Rescue have been stationed at various locations around the city the last couple of days.
MDA says the funds collected will help with research, trials, approvals of new medications, medical equipment, assist families with physicians visits and sent kids MDA summer camps.
While you are out and about, don’t forget to drop some change or a few dollars in a firefighter’s boot.
Firefighters are stationed at the following intersections:
- 50th and Indiana
- Slide Rd. and South Loop
- 19th and University Ave.
They are also stationed at the following locations:
- Market Street at 98th and Quaker Ave.
- United Supermarkets at 82nd and Frankford Ave
