For 28 years, 4th on Broadway at Mackenzie Park has been an event that Lubbock and the entire region look forward to year after year. This year will be nothing short of the family fun Lubbockites have come to know. With a full day of events, there is something for everybody to enjoy.
The day will start off in the morning with the Yankee Doodle Dash and Sparkler Sprint. The Yankee Doodle Dash includes a 5k and one-mile run, while the Sparkler Sprint is a 100-yard dash, free for kids ages 6-12. To register or for more information, visit westtexasendurance.com.
Following the run, the Sonic Drive-In Parade will kick off at 9 a.m., featuring this year’s theme, “All You Need Is Love.” The parade will once again begin at Avenue M & Broadway, head east and turn north into Mackenzie Park on Canyon Lakes Drive.
