For the second year, Training for Life Racing will be hosting their Dia de los Muertos 5K and Fun Run on November 5, 2017. The event will take place at the Landwer House, with the Fun Run beginning at 9 a.m. and the 5K starting at 9:30 a.m.
This year, their charity partner is the Hispanic Association of Women. Additional donations from this event will benefit the Hispanic Association of Women’s general scholarship fund.
Dia De Los Muertos is a day to honor those who passed before us. Come celebrate a tradition through fitness and friends! No matter the reason you are running or the person you are celebrating, we will be there to support you every step of the way. Once again, we will have a memorial altar and encourage all participants to bring a photo to place on the altar before we begin.
Cost is $30 for the 5K through October 12 and $25 for the Fun Run or Virtual Run. After that, the cost will increase to $40. Race day registration will also be an option if the event is not sold out prior. Volunteer opportunities are available. Please send an email to trainingforliferacing@gmail.com for more information.
