The following is a news release from the Lubbock Arts Alliance:

The Lubbock Arts Alliance will present the 40th Annual Lubbock Arts Festival, April 14-15, 2018, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane. This two-day celebration is the largest fine art, fine craft event in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.

During the festival, several performing stages will spotlight the very best local and regional vocalists, dancers, actors and musicians. On Sunday, April 15th, at 4:00 pm., James Gould will perform his Spanish Flamenco guitar stylings on Main Stage – located just inside the north entrance to the Civic Center.

“James is a prime example of the Arts Alliance’s mission to foster the creation, understanding, and enjoyment of the arts,” said Janis Hubble, Lubbock Arts Alliance Board of Directors Member; “this festival consistently brings to our community, the first, the best, and the only.”

Many of Gould’s performance pieces relate specifically to traditional Flamenco dance/choreography, and he is quick to credit his mentors, who explained, “You don’t find Flamenco, James, Flamenco finds you.”

Gould invites Festival visitors to find him on Main Stage and discover his Flamenco style for themselves.
