The following is a news release from Pray Lubbock:
Pray Lubbock is sponsoring an assembly for the purpose of allowing the community to gather and pray for our country, our state and our community. This will take place at noon at the Lubbock County Courthouse Gazebo on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018.
This one-hour event on the courthouse lawn (904 Broadway, corner of Broadway and Texas Avenue) will feature prayers for issues that affect our community and country.
The theme of the 2018 National Day of Prayer is “Pray for America — UNITY”, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence for His Holy Name. The theme verse is Ephesians 4:3: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” The 2018 National Prayer for our Nation, written by Dr. Ronnie Floyd, Senior Pastor, Cross Church, will be read in gatherings across our country.
