Former Abernathy Police Sergeant Terry Edge passed away Monday.
Edge was injured off-duty in a vehicle accident in November 2016 just to the north of Lubbock along Interstate 27. He suffered a spinal cord injury.
According to the Facebook page Roadblock’s Warriors, Edge had been in several facilities for medical care. In June of 2017, he suffered a serious setback and was in critical condition. He seemed to be doing better in the latter part of 2017.
Among those who reacted to the news was Lubbock County Constable C.J. Peterson who wrote on Facebook, “RIP brother.”
