The following is a news release from the City of Lubbock:
Beginning Thursday, February 8th, Lone Star Dirt and Paving, under contract with the City of Lubbock, will begin an asphalt and concrete paving improvement project on 66th and Iola Ave. These improvements will be conducted from 66th Street to 68th Street, and this area will be closed to traffic while the construction is being completed. Detours will be made available to residents inside the neighborhood, and all other traffic is recommended to find alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to allow extra time for delays or to find alternate routes. This work will take approximately three to four weeks to complete depending on weather and construction constraints.
