The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:

Deangiilo Hill, 18, and Treveon Tyler, 17, are now in the Lubbock County Detention Center charged with aggravated assault in connection to Tuesday’s drive-by shooting in the 1900 block of 37th Street.

Through the investigation, Lubbock Police Department detectives were able to quickly identify Hill as a suspect in the shooting that injured a 16-year-old female. By Wednesday, investigators secured an arrest warrant for aggravated assault for Hill. 

Thursday night, investigators with LPD, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) were able to track down Hill in the area of 2000 50th Street. Hill was arrested without incident.

In the process of arresting Hill, investigators located Treveon Tyler who was also considered a possible suspect in the shooting. Upon further investigation, Tyler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a stolen firearm. 

This case remains under investigation and more arrests are likely.
