Hodges Community Center will be hosting a babysitter training class on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for youth ages twelve and older. This class will teach participants to become reliant, confident and responsible while caring for young children. The training will cover two hours of babysitting techniques, training and tips on recruiting customers and then two hours of CPR instruction. By the end of this course, attendees will be First Aid and CPR certified with an ID card and a manual as well. The CPR certification is provided by First Response Resources. Cost per person is $60. Hodges Community Center offers a variety of classes for all age groups beginning with pre-school age children through adults with the goal of providing quality programming that will enhance the lives of Lubbock citizens. The Center is located at 4011 University Ave and is open Monday – Thursday from 8:30a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
