U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is scheduled to speak in Lubbock on March 10 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
According to a group called Our Revolution Texas (ORT), the event will start at 1:00 pm. The group said Sanders, Our Revolution President Nina Turner, and former Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower will be special guests in the speaking engagement.
ORT said, “Income inequality, climate change, racial justice, and the need to build political movements for change will all be addressed and more.”
As for the cost, ORT said, “We are a small non-profit organization and are asking for a $5 contribution to cover costs, click here to help.”
