Zach Brady took the oath of office this morning at a special meeting as Lubbock ISD’s newest member of the Board of Trustees.
Brady was appointed on June 16 to fill the position vacated by Melissa Collier. The parent of two Lubbock ISD students, Brady is an attorney, small business owner, and both of his parents were public school educators. Brady will serve until the next regular board election on May 5, 2018, when voters will select a candidate to fill the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends in May 2020.
The board also voted on reorganization of officers as follows: Laura Vinson, president; James Arnold, vice president and Mark Blankenship, secretary.
